Suzanne Grant
“Learning for me is everything, as well as living life with meaning and giving back what I have gained to the people that need it, or perhaps just to share.”
“This is a timely initiative and well planned and very much needed! …”
Wachiya! My name is Suzanne House, I was born in Moose Factory, Ontario. Raised on the Island of Fort-George as well as in Chisasibi Quebec. I am a mother of four beautiful children, Nahabinoshkum, Danielle, Ethan, and Siigwin. Married to Michael Grant.
I have just recently returned to the community of Waswanipi, QC from what seems like too many years of post-secondary education. During this time I have received two health certificates from Algonquin College. I am currently completing my Bachelors in Nursing from the University of Ottawa.
love to learn, I enjoy it. My vision was always to help people in any way I can, through healing, caring and teaching. I also like to put into practice what I learn, and this is what Nishiiyuu will help me do.
I teach my children, I enjoy talking with individuals. I enjoy listening to their stories. I continue to gain knowledge through our Elders, through art, through music, through readings. I often pick up new information through my own children as well as my through my husband and the people I am surrounded with throughout my life’s journey.
Learning for me is everything, as well as living life with meaning and giving back what I have gained to the people that need it, or perhaps just to share. This is the reason why I make every effort to attend when opportunities present themselves such as teachings of all sorts. But now it is time for me to give back. The learning continues and my dream never ends. My life story does not stop here.
And now with the ways of the Nishiiyuu…there will always be something new, something better. Megwetch!
